To link its 15,000 member companies with their international counterparts, TUSKON organises international trade fairs annually in coordination with the Republic of Turkey, Undersecreteriat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade.

TUSKON's 2009 trade summit attracted 2,250 companies from 135 different countries. Despite the global economic slowdown, an estimated trade volume of US$7bn was generated as a result of the 120,000 bilateral business meetings held with 3,000 Turkish enterprises last year.

With the global economic crisis easing, TUSKON expects even a more vigorous trade summit in 2010. representatives from 150 countries (from the Asia Pacific region, North and South America, Africa, Europe, Eurasia and the Middle East,Australia), 30 trade ministers and 80 journalists will be invited to participate in the "Turkey-World Trade Bridge 2010". In the post-crisis era,Turkey's leading manufacturers offer first-class products and services at attractive prices and this would present rewarding benefits to international importers such as improved profit margins.

In this buying trade mission event, American businesses will have the opportunity to:

- meet local companies in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings,

- investigate trade and investment opportunities locally,

- visit 400 exhibition stands of Turkish companies,

- enjoy a complimentary Istanbul City Tour and

- travel to other cities of Turkey free of charge as complimentary guests of the summit organiser TUSKON.
